Hi!

I'm Sevaerna Voss, author of the Vicious Echoes universe and others to come! I am your safe space for all things weird. Want to talk about conspiracy theories, I've probably heard it and have two or three theories of my own to add. Cryptids, perhaps? Let's talk about them! Do you have a ghost story? Tell me! Not only will I believe you, but I'll tell you a few of mine.

When I'm not writing, I am studying Mandarin, making some delicious food for my family, or reading. I fell in love with monster romance several years ago, but I have actually been a participant in the genre quietly without knowing that it was a niche romance market. You see, my first love was Thel Vadum, otherwise known as the Arbiter in the Halo franchise. I began to write my own romance fan fiction about him when I was fourteen. Its tucked away somewhere in an old dusty laptop, but the story followed me everywhere. From a young age, I've spent the majority of my waking life in my own world. No matter where I was-the pool, the gym, school, the car, on a walk-I was walking in two realities simultanously.

Many of my ideas are actually born from listening to music, where I create mini music videos in my head and the lore begins to appear spontaneously. The issue was that each song was its own star-a tiny point of light in an otherwise empty space. So, they lived in my head as little stops to escape to for three to five minutes, but nothing more than that. However, it occurred to me one day while writing a silly little monster smut novel that each of those stars could actually belong in the same universe if I just tweaked them a little bit. So, my silly monster smut became a deeply lore driven story that talked about things that I really care about.

So, the Vicious Echoes universe was created.

Through this story I can work through my own thoughts on the universe, our purpose, God, death, and the nature of reality and love.

"The world is like a ride at an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it, you think it's real, because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round and it has thrills and chills and it's very brightly colored and it's very loud. And it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question: 'Is this real? Or is this just a ride?' And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and they say 'Hey! Don't worry, don't be afraid -- ever -- because... this is just a ride.' "

-Bill Hicks

Life is just a ride, and I hope you'll join me in it for a little bit.
